Two trophies. Five gold medals. From probably the oldest commercial Riesling block in Tasmania, planted in 1974. In excellent vintages Bream Creek Vineyard make a special Reserve Riesling solely from fruit from these old vines. Here's one of them. This is a powerful and bold wine, with a fragrant nose of citrus and mineral characters flowing onto a lengthy palate of lemon and lime juice, as well as a hint of grapefruit. It is simply delicious now, yet can be cellared with absolute confidence.
